Perfect WeDnEsDaY

The cock is crowing,
The stream is flowing,
The small birds twitter,
The lake doth glitter,
The green field sleeps in the sun;
The oldest and youngest
Are at work with the strongest;
The cattle are grazing,
Their heads never raising;
There are forty feeding like one!

Like an army defeated
The snow hath retreated,
And now doth fare ill
On the top of the bare hill;
The Plowboy is whooping-anon-anon:
There’s joy in the mountains;
There’s life in the fountains;
Small clouds are sailing,
The rain is over and gone!
~~MARCH, William Wordsworth

Awww, Wordsworth! Remind me of the perennial grumpiness of late winter and the relief and joy of spring arrived. Yes. The Universality of it all. Imagine what this must be in our collective memories.

Much of Central Oregon is in the grip of icy winter weather; but, according to our kids, spring is here. Soon! Soon! I actually feel a tinge of guilt when I see all the gardeners in the cold climates waiting patiently for spring. It will be here soon!

I awoke to 19° this morning; that is unbelievably cold. It's warming up to 45°...a perfect Wednesday to enjoy another tranquil spot to sit, contemplate, and soak in the laughter.

Hi Sarah! What a lovely, encouraging, relaxing post! Your children look so happy. New Hampshire is looking springlike as well...kind of. :)

True learning-learning that is permanent and useful,that leads to intelligent action and further learning, can arise only out of the experience, interest, and concerns of the learner.
John Holt
Real heroes are men who fall, fail and are flawed, but win out in the end because they stayed true to their ideals, beliefs and commitments.
