Beauty of Love

Beauty, it is life! Life is inspired first by God and then given to us. He gives us free will. With free will, we should realize our love and life can mean so much more. My children inspires me so much more than they can ever know, I truly believe that they are Beautiful Blessings, gifts given to love from God. I do love them above all others.

Not a day goes by
that I don't wish you know how much I love you.
Not a day goes by
that I don't wish better for you.

My love is like a river it is like a fountain
it is longing and flowing for you.

No matter what hard times we've been through
My love has kept on growing for you.
I hope you can see
that it is you I need.

I know we are bound for a higher life
where we won't bare anymore strife.

Yet, in the still of this life
not a day goes by
that I'm not praying for you
and still loving you.

Happy 8th Birthday, My Sweat Boy!

As I think of you, my dearest son, growing up, going through all the stages that you've gone through, I want you to know that I will always be here to support you. Happy Birthday, my boy!

Oh how the years go by
Oh how time can certainly fly.
From once just a thought in far away dreams
now into my arms and in my eyes
gleam the presence of you.

Your laughter and smiles
which go on for miles
warms my heart and soul.
You're growing up so fast
as I wish each moment with you to last forever.

My little boy will someday be a man
and right by your side I will forever stand.
I will pick up the pieces when you fall,
I will hold your hand and help you stand tall.

And when the day comes when you are on your own,
never feel that you are alone.
No matter how near or far apart
I am always right there in your heart.
Always remember whatever you go through
that no matter what, I will always love you.

Perfect WeDnEsDaY

The cock is crowing,
The stream is flowing,
The small birds twitter,
The lake doth glitter,
The green field sleeps in the sun;
The oldest and youngest
Are at work with the strongest;
The cattle are grazing,
Their heads never raising;
There are forty feeding like one!

Like an army defeated
The snow hath retreated,
And now doth fare ill
On the top of the bare hill;
The Plowboy is whooping-anon-anon:
There’s joy in the mountains;
There’s life in the fountains;
Small clouds are sailing,
The rain is over and gone!
~~MARCH, William Wordsworth

Awww, Wordsworth! Remind me of the perennial grumpiness of late winter and the relief and joy of spring arrived. Yes. The Universality of it all. Imagine what this must be in our collective memories.

Much of Central Oregon is in the grip of icy winter weather; but, according to our kids, spring is here. Soon! Soon! I actually feel a tinge of guilt when I see all the gardeners in the cold climates waiting patiently for spring. It will be here soon!

I awoke to 19° this morning; that is unbelievably cold. It's warming up to 45°...a perfect Wednesday to enjoy another tranquil spot to sit, contemplate, and soak in the laughter.

Your World is Only As Small As You Deem It To Be

One who ventures into unknown or unclaimed territory to settle.
One who opens up new areas of thought, research, or development.

Life is a fantastic voyage. Won't you come along through some inspirational thought I received today from K-Bomb (who is blogless as far as I know), a knitter? Be sure to check out her latest ingenious Pioneer top pattern. It's on my expanding project queue.

I think back to when I was a child and the power would go out at my grandparents' house. Reality was put on pause and, for a couple of days, I felt like a pioneer in a new world. Everything within my grasp was looked at with new eyes. The couch was no longer what it seemed; for it had turned into a fortress in the mountains, and the carpet was red hot lava my brother and I had to ski down with pillows on our feet. Creativity and imagination ruled this small chunk of time.

Your world is only as small as you deem it to be. You discover new things every day. Sometimes it helps to turn off the noise and just sit in a pile of yarn, thinking of all the new possibilities that are waiting to be made.

On a side note, Tammy has a wonderful series on Get Started On a Homeschool Makeover. Whether you homeschool or not, taking a closer look of the series would change your life. Education is a family adventure.

A Bizzare Day of Snow Falling

See the pretty snowflakes
Falling from the sky,
On the wall and housetops
Soft and thick they lie.
On the window ledges,
On the branches bare,
Now how fast they gather,
Filling all the air.

Look into the garden,
Where the grass was green;
Covered by the snowflakes,
Not a blade is seen.

Now the bare black bushes,
All look soft and white,
Every twig is laden -
What a pretty sight!
